Jeff Jarvis is blogging about blogging as accoriding to Technorati. Some nuggets:
- Technorati is tracking more than 4.1 million bloggers
- The slowest the blogsphere has doubled is 5 months
- Blogs are being created at 12,000 a day, but almost half are abandoned
- English is no longer the predominate blog language
Interesting stuff. Thanks to Steve for the tip.
Now add those updated stats to these older ones from Perseus:
- 92.4% of blogs created by people under the age of 30
- Females are slightly more likely than males to create blogs, accounting for 56.0% of hosted blogs
- They expect the number of hosted blogs to exceed 10M by the end of
2004
