Great point posted in a recent Branding Blog post called Stupid Radio Ads:
I am sick of lame radio ads that try to get me to remember a phone number by simply repeating it over and over again…I don’t want to remember your stupid phone number. I have too many numbers to remember as it is. Give me a reason to remember you and when I need your number, trust me I’ll find it.
I like this quote because the concept of a strong brand is so important. Give people a reason to act. On the web, we still need to tell them how to act (buy now, subscribe, click here, etc), but we can’t just leave it at that. Give them a reason to click. Give them a reason to respond…to participate.
