Every year (or it used to be) there was an all-star football game called the Blue-Gray Game. It was for college seniors to get together and play a game with NFL scouts watching.
This year’s game has been cancelled because they couldn’t find a corporate sponsor.
Kevin at Fanblogs has a suggestion that is really interesting and I think I like it:
Here’s a suggestion: Put the corporate logo on the helmets. Instead of seeing guy going down the field with 13 different team logos on his helmet that he swapped with his new ‘Best Friends For Life’, throw a Nextel logo or something on there. While you’re at it, you could do sideline interviews from the booth using the Nextel. (Hey, now you’re talking!) It could generate a lot more exposure for a sponsor and you might even get to have your game.
