Do You Know What RSS Is?

I decided to check out a particular Christian ministry that has a daily email commentary to see if it’s offered as RSS. I didn’t see anything on the site so I emailed them this question:

Are [the ministry's] daily commentary offered as RSS? I would love to receive it that way.

They replied within an hour:

Dear Rob,

Thank you for contacting [our ministry]. We are not exactly clear by what you mean when you say RSS. If you call us at: 1 xxx xxx xxxx, we will be happy to see if we can be of further assistance. God bless!

I think I got my answer.

So does your ministry know what RSS is?

You’re right. I did get an answer within an hour. That’s pretty impressive. I give them credit for that and apologize I didn’t make that clear earlier.

However, this is a pretty significant ministry and their customer service people don’t know what RSS is. My point is that this is a technology that needs to be embraced more and more in Christian communities.
