Oops. Wrong way to say that. Instead I should have said, “Who do you hope to attract so you can serve them?
At least that’s according to Roy H. Williams. He has a point.
Advertising consultants, instead of asking, ‘Who is your target?’ why not ask, ‘Who are we hoping to attract?’ Instead of asking ‘What is our objective? ask, ‘How are we hoping to serve?’

The proposed questions are better, but still a bit wordy. Perhaps Peter Drucker’s sageful questions may be apt here: Who is your customer?
For compeleteness, here’s Drucker’s 5 main questions for organizational success:
What is our mission?
Who is our customer?
What does the customer value?
What are our results?
What is our plan?
