What Jesus Says Makes Sense at effective web ministry notes

What Jesus Says Makes Sense

That’s a paraphrase of the three TV commercials running in Adelaide, Australia. They are brought to the fine citizens of Adelaide by, well, a lot of folks!

From an email I received telling me about the Jesus — All About Life campaign in Australia:

…[the planning team] set out to find out what people in Australia thought about the Church, Jesus Christ, Christianity and religion. They completed a detailed market research report and used it to set the key messages of the Australian campaign…

…It is planned that the campaign will be rolled out state by state across Australia. This week the first of these media campaigns has gone live in the city of Adelaide in South Australia. Billboards have just gone up and TV media ads will be shown starting tonight for the next 5 weeks. The TV campaign has booked excellent prime time viewing slots with ads appearing in programs such as ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’, ‘Temptation’, ‘The Simpsons’ and ‘Law and Order’…

…The research report clearly shows that Australia is in desperate spiritual poverty. Please pray for the people who will see the TV ads, hear the Radio spots and drive past the billboards.

Those who want to respond to the multi-media campaign can do so by going online or ‘ringing’ a phone number to receive an info packet.

This campaign is very similar to the successful “Power To Change” strategy developed in Canada.

Hi, Martin Johnson here from Bible Society NSW. Together with Rev Karl Faase, we developed the JAAL campaign currently running in Adelaide.
Love to hear any other comments - this Adelaide campaign is a trial and we hope to get other cities interested.
http://www.jesusallaboutlife.com.au is where you’ll find all the info. Canberra is next, then Brisbane are really keen for late 2006
