Blogging for Ministry at effective web ministry notes

Blogging for Ministry

Pastors.com is the website from Rick Warren and his Ministry Toolbox. This week Terry Wilhite, communications and multimedia specialists, wrote an article entitled Blogging: A great tool for ministry where he answers the question “How can we use blogging in ministry?”

He’s got some great tips for the local church that can be adapted for your specific ministry also. I gave some definitions of what a blog is on my personal blog and maintain blog and RSS tips over there on occasion. One day I hope to update the Orangejack Blogging University from my old blog but I just haven’t had the time yet.

Oh, and don’t forget the category of this blog on blogs!

But I am looking for example of blogs being used effectively for ministry. What have you seen?

depends on what you mean by “effectively” and what you mean by “ministry”.. 3 blogs that have a larger number of readers and are ministry-related are: http://www.bloggingchurch.com/ http://evotional.com/ http://mondaymorninginsight.typepad.com/ , and from one perspective, it is effective ministry b/c it is communicating something that builds up & edifies its readers.
