The US Census Bureau released a report of the age demographics for US internet users: Internet Users Show Their Age.
Of note, there is a chart breaking down Households With Computers and Internet Access by Householder Age, October 2003 revealing that the age group that has the most access to the internet are aged 35-54. Over 65% of the people in this age group have access.

Interesting. That poll must have been completed before MySpace launched. Now the average age of Internet users is 12.
12? I haven’t seen that. You have a URL for it? Amazing.
Sorry, Rob, I was being facetious.
Forgot my smiley.
Interestingly enough the trend you mention seems to still reign. From what I’ve heard there is quite a boom in Internet use by senior citizens who are learning how useful it is (and that it’s certainly not going away.)
Perhaps we should start gearing up our seniors ministries for that.
D’oh! I fell for it. Sorta. That’s why I asked for a URL!
I think the numbers may be a little more toward the younger crowd. That’s why I posted these numbers.
