Maybe this is a stretch. Maybe not. You decide.
The mission of Campus Crusade for Christ (of whom I’m on staff with) is helping to build spiritual movements everywhere so everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus Christ.
Well, the other night my wife and I had dinner with a couple from Arkansas here in Orlando. But we met because of blogs.
You see, they are moving to Orlando soon and were in town to visit. While here, they wanted to learn more about this city from other Christians. Back in Arkansas, they are connected to a small group Bible study through church. One cool thing about this group is almost all of them have blogs.
Through different blogrolls they found us. A comment was left on my wife’s blog that told us they were coming to town and the conversation went to email until we finally met for dinner.
Now I ask you, is this an example of blog technology connecting people to people? Imagine if this couple were unbelievers? What kind of opportunity would we have because of living out our lives authentically online?
Just food for thought.
