Another very interesting idea I had not really though of: build a Google homepage module. Blake explains how he’s seen a boost to his site after building one using Flickr (see the center photo in my start page above? That’s his). Oh, click on the screenshot above and you’ll be taken to Flickr and you can see the notes I have for each section.

Actually, that’s how I met Blake. I clicked through, read his site, liked what he wrote about, emailed him, we began interacting, and now we’re both following each other through RSS. We have a relationship because he built a module for the customized Google homepage that I use.

So here’s the thing: you could create a module that offers something that your ministry offers OR you could create something that the general public would like.

Blake’s blog isn’t about Flickr or photography. He created it as a service to everyone else. So brainstorm…come up with some ideas that could be built related or unrelated to your ministry, link it back to you, and publish it. See what happens!
