…people are del.icio.us too!
The Yahoo Search Blog is telling us how the social bookmarking site del.icio.us is more than a social network of bookmarks:
As the del.icio.us community has grown, what we’ve found is that it’s not just the bookmarks that are interesting – it’s the people, too. del.icio.us is filling up with people who are building collections of really interesting, relevant, timely links on a huge range of subjects. These people and their collections are every bit as interesting as the links themselves. Imagine if you could find these people as easily as you find links by searching del.icio.us or the Web.
And they are taking steps to allow this. I’ve pondered in the past about sites like del.icio.us being used for effective ministry. Now it seems that not only could you use bookmarking and tags, but it’s getting easier to find people and see what they are interested in.
I may have to play around with this idea a bit.

I hope this helps you in exporing of del.icio.us
thanks,

Darin, I looked at your tag page but couldn’t tell how you’re connecting with people. I use del.icio.us for my personal bookmarks and all, but now they are talking about being able to connect with people better. That’s what I’m interested in. It’s moving from a tool for capacity to a tool for connecting with people. That’s what I’m finding interesting.
