Creating a list of eMinistry bookmarks

This post is for all you out there that have a few useful bookmarked sites for eMinistry. I see different lists around the blogosphere and elsewhere. We have some listed in the “tangents” list in the blog gutter.

But I wonder if there’s a “Web 2.0″ way we could aggregate these into one place we could all contribute to and promote?

I’m thinking of something like a Flickr group but with del.icio.us…but I can’t tell that this is available. We could create a unique tag, but then we couldn’t categorize inside that tag very well…or could we?

What do you think? I say we brainstorm this a bit and see if we can’t make it happen.

Thoughts?

Hey Rob, we’ve actually talked about building something like this. It started off as a glorified resource list (our famed “Don’t Suck List”) but the more we get into it the more it sounds like a del.icio.us/Flickr thing. Brad actually hinted at it when he talked about future CFCC ideas. We’ve been in talks with a few people to see about making it happen, but we’re just starting down that road.

Good news: I contacted delicious support about a Flickr-type group. I got this reply this morning:

We’re working on things like this! For now, the specific tag is a
popular approach. Also, some groups use a shared account for this.
Neither option is quite as good as Flickr’s groups…yet.

So maybe we wait for the group idea?

And del.icio.us seems to be the highest common denominator — it can tag Flickr photos (not to mention news, blogs, videos), but Flickr doesn’t pretend to be able to tag anything else but photos.

Thus we’ve recently generated some ‘BlewsWire‘ feeds, created from ‘blews’ tagged items at del.icio.us. You can see it in use on Blews.Network sites.

And yes, I believe we can develop effective categories as well. For instance, there we’ve developed a ‘CCDA BlewsWire’ especially in time for this week’s CCDA convention.

Or CityReaching BlewsWire for great stories, articles, photos, or videos of value to the cityreaching movement.

And you’ll see a DeliciousChristians.com network forming — already with 80 innovative Christian taggers included.

It’s at least a start. Everyone’s thoughts would be greatly helpful.
