I got an email yesterday asking…
is some Christian apologist / speaker doing a particularly effective job creating evangelistic and apologetics-based audio resources?
Do you know of any?

YES! I am presently working on developing a podcast for EveryStudent.com. I expect that we will have a weekly article published and then add a link to download the audio file on each article’s page.
Steve Webb over at: The Lifespring Podcasts is very good, aimed at ‘those seeking’ and not preachy! I don’t know if it would
He’s also a really nice guy!!!
I for got these, don’t know if they’d be quite what you’re looking for though!

Thanks for prompting me to put up a page on the IE Day site about this:
podcasting.
Jerry, do let me know, via the site, when your EveryStudent podcast is running and I will put a link on the page

Peter Kreeft has some audio resources available for download. The audience may not be for non-christians, but he has good topics.

Ravi Zacharias is one of the top twenty on itunes religious/christian category.
Apologetics is a big issue. Some people think of one or two lines of apologetic thinking and call that apologetics, but that does not address all the issues that the surrounding culture has with Christianity. To do a full blown apologetics you must address the issues presented by the culture. Mars Hill Audio does a great job of addressing the various issues but it comes from a fairly intellectual level. Even so I highly recommend them. Another issue is that they are not free, but you can get samples to try out.
A bit late to the discussion, but Greg Koukl (of STR.org) has daily/weekly podcasts. I’m not really “into” the whole podcasting thing but there’s info here:
