Africa’s Internet gap getting wider at effective web ministry notes

Africa’s Internet gap getting wider

“They” say that Africa’s Internet gap is getting wider:

Less than 1 percent of Africans have access to broadband services due to a lack of international connectivity and unwieldy monopolies, compared with 22 percent of Americans and 30 percent of western Europeans, Hurst said.

After spending a week in Kenya helping our African staff get online and connected, I can see how this gap exists right now. They are so hungry for the ability to connect and communicate better. I really hope that the gap doesn’t get wider.
