Many of you who follow this site use WordPress.org (downloaded and hosted WordPress). If you are one of them, you need to be aware that WordPress 2.1.1 is dangerous and needs to be upgraded immediately.
You can do a quick check to see what version of WP you are using if you log into your blog dashboard and scroll to the bottom of the page. It’ll tell you what version you have. Thankfully I just have 2.1 and never upgraded to 2.1.1. If I did, I’d get 2.1.2 for sure.
For anyone using Wordpress.org, I highly recommend following the WordPress development blog or subscribe to their RSS feed.
You can see they don’t post much, but they do let you know when a new stable release is available, how to get it, and why to get it.
