Web from a Marketer’s Point of View at effective web ministry notes

Web from a Marketer’s Point of View

There is a really interesting video featuring Seth Godin. The video is less than 7 minutes long. He talks about the history of the web from a marketing point of view and where he thinks it’s going. Near the end he talks about the role he thinks social networks like MySpace, Facebook, and Linked In play and how blogs fit into the online conversation.

Can’t say all of the video is pertinent to us as ministers of the Gospel, but if you think about how, in some sense, evangelists are marketers, listen to the strategy Seth brings out. What hits me at the end of the video is how he talks about the most effective way to influence a group of people: host the conversation on your blog.
