bible games kids that teach

Is it just me?

I was born and raised Christian but as I am growing up and becoming more and more educated about the world/life/other people I am beginning to think some Christians are crazy…literally insane. I went to a Catholic elementary school and taught that other religions were “crazy” because they beleived in multiple gods and reincarnation and such. But is it any more “sane” to believe 2 of every species of animal in the world were on the same boat, that humans were magically created from dust, that a virgin gave birth. Have u ever played the game “telephone” when u were a kid? The bible is like one huge game of telephone that has last over 2000 years…very unreliable.

You’ve hit it on the head. Many of the pieces of the bible did come originally from oral history. And certainly in translating to latin, to english, etc. meanings have been inadvertently changed, yet those translations are often taken to be direct from God, ignoring how humans may have altered it over 2,000 + years. And from a neutral perspective, it doesn’t seem any more crazy to believe one thing than another. After all, there aren’t any big tell-tale signs occuring today that any one tradition is right or wrong.
