It occurred to me the other day that the five year anniversary of the attacks on NYC and Washington DC is coming this September 11.
Now could be a good time to (re)create ministry sites for the anniversary. People are still hurting.
Hummm….looking at how Google Maps are being used in News & Media has got me wondering how this could be used for ministry purposes?
The first thought that jumps to my mind is a denomination using it to map all of it’s churches in an area…or the country/world. That’s too obvious though.
What about what [...]
I apologize that it took so long to get these up. I spent 10 days in Budapest, Hungary on a mission trip.
Here are the notes:
How do you hope this will help your ministry?
Gain insights into reaching today’s culture – expand our vision, collaboration and coordination in some of our efforts

I’ve mentioned before YouTube.com. I really think this can be a facinating way to minister online. Create a video, upload it, and let it spread virally.
Today Chapter 1 of the JESUS Film went to YouTube. Of course you can watch it in many languages elsewhere.
I can see this strategy becoming effective.
You probably know that Firefox allows you to load differnet search engines into it’s built-in search. With one click you can change from Google to Yahoo to Wikipedia to Flickr Tags to The Free Dictionary.

Something I’ve been working through on my whiteboard in the office and my head (in and out of the office!) are the differences in online communication messages. I wanted to capture some of my thoughts here and welcome any comments.
Most messages need a couple of data fields: Author, Date, Title, and Message.
That seems to [...]
Frank at Strategic Digital Outreach points us to a marketing campaign by a church in South Carolina using a domain name for a sermon series on marriage.
This is a great idea. Simple and creative.
But Frank asks:
I wonder if domains such as this could be used by multiple churches?
This is a fantastic idea! Imagine [...]
The other day Tom and I were sitting in a meeting where one of our regional leaders was explaining the need to communicate better with our staff members that are scattered around Eastern Europe. In the past we have understood this need and expected to meet it with a website, but website development takes time [...]
Dan Lee over at Blog Ministry has put together a two-part series on lessons he’s learned from Noah for eMinistry. Some lessons learned:
Don’t miss the boat
Plan ahead
Stay fit and healthy, someone may ask you to do something really big
For safety’s sake, travel in pairs
Build your future on high ground
To understand these better in context [...]
Just a quick update on the advertising campaign for GodLovesRussia.com:
In the last 3 weeks, 39 people clicked “Yes” I accepted Jesus at the end of the page.
That was 28% of the people who clicked on the ad! 1 in 3 people who clicked on the ad responded! Wow.
(1.2% of the people who had the ad [...]
