Can you name one command to kill, that isn’t taken metaphorically?
Why is it that every single command in the bible that commands you to kill someone, is taken metaphorically?
Can you name me one command from god, where he commands you to kill another person, that IS NOT taken as a metaphor?
Is it merely a coincidence that you classify ALL the bad verses as metaphor? ALL the sexist and intolerant commands to put another human to death, as only a metaphorical puzzle?
There are hundreds, yet no christian takes a single one literally.
I find that interesting how someone can so hypocritically claim that they don’t pick and choose, when they CLEARLY do.
According to Christianity, since God made you already flawed, and imperfect, isn’t it a possibility that your upsetting God by reading a literal verse to be metaphor, simply because you choose to do so?
Why would god write such commands with detail, just for you to have to figure out that its all a game, and your job to realize whats metaphor and whats not?
Every nut who finally relents to God’s voice in their head does take the command literally….just google “man kills for God” and you will find hundreds of stories.
