Do you ever get the feeling that the whole bible group is not getting along together and you can feel the tension in the air? One of the best ways to get everyone to relax and encourage interaction is by doing group icebreaking activity. A Christian bible group doesn’t always mean you have to sit down, read and discuss about the bible. It should also be a good time to let everyone get to know each other and this makes learning easier.

Here are several things you can do to make a bible study session more fun:

1. Introduce Yourself – Ask everyone to introduce their names and tell three funny things about themselves. When you do this activity, make sure you start first. If you ask someone else to do it, they are reluctant to speak out. This quick exercise will make the group feel relax and joyful.

2. Say four fun facts about the bible that the group doesn’t know about. Make the talk interesting and this would make it seem more fun. Most bible studies are usually dry and boring, so make sure you make it funny.

3. Group Interaction Guessing Games – If you want to encourage more team spirit and competition a quick guessing game can be a great icebreaker. The guessing game doesn’t have to be complex. In fact, if you make it short and simple, the more fun the group will have.

4. Sing a Christian Song – This is perhaps the easiest icebreaker. Bring a guitar along and sing a Christian song together. Singing will make people smile and release any tension they would have.
