I read a couple of great books and I would like to recommend them to anyone who is interested in studying Christianity. These books point out a lot of problems with Christianity and the Holy Bible, but are well worth reading, especially if you’re a Christian.
If you’re a Muslim, atheist or nonbeliever, I would also suggest reading these books. The first book is,” The Sins of Scripture, by John Shelby Spong in the second book is, Misquoting Jesus, by Bart Ehrman.”
When I say that these books are great Christian reading, I’m not talking about books that were written by Christians to convince other Christians that Christianity is the best religion to follow or belong to. I’m not talking about books that were written by Christians to convince other Christians that they are right and their way is the only way and there is no other way.
I’m talking about great Christian reading that will challenge your beliefs, get you thinking about just how right you actually are and last but not least provide you with some factual information about the Holy Bible.
Both of these books were written by extremely intelligent people, one has done extensive research in biblical scripture and the other is a retired Episcopalian minister. I enjoyed both of these books and recommend them highly to anyone who believes that the Bible is the written word of God.
Christians beware, these books can definitely inspire you to start thinking and your church leaders might have a problem with this.
